I don’t particularly want to end up prosecuted, but I figure that half of 4chan will be coming with me so the remaining Anon will launch a great campaign to save us.
I have, at multiple times in my adult life, stored images of lewd drawings of minors on my computer. I’m certain that there’s somebody out there reading this who is thinking me some form of wicked deviant, and you may be right. But, as far as I’m concerned, I have done no major wrong. I’m not here to start an argument about age of consent or discuss the evils of the sexualization of culture; because I’m doubtful that pen on paper has many sexual rights. For my mental state, shooting pixels to a bloody pulp has never made me shoot anyone, so violating images of fourteen-year-old anime characters isn’t going to turn me into a rapist.
Legally, my opinion has been under fire recently. Attempting to throw men in prison for having
pictures of child hentai would be quite the undertaking… just Google search for “Evangelion hentai” and realize that 75% of the images you are seeing are of young men and women who, according to the show, are thirteen-year-olds. And in some of those images, there are some bad things happening to the young ladies… the kind of stuff Pedobear likes.
Luckily the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund is rising to the occassion, in their first case where they’ve leapt to defend a consumer instead of a creator or retailer. For those of you who aren’t aware of the group’s existence, they are one of the finest groups fighting for our rights to express our disgusting fears, desires, and realities. I had the pleasure of financially supporting one of the recent funding raising efforts, and I will no doubt give to them again.
Something all of us Anonymous folks might consider doing in the near future, before the government starts breaking down our doors.

I agree with this article. Most Europeans are technically pedophiles because they have written laws to lower the age of consent beyond so-called “free countries”, like the USA and UK. The government however, allows these “pedophiles” visas and passports and to roam freely into their countries.
This of course has little to do with comics, but it shows how the law can be corrupted by governments so easily in the face of intense lobbyist pressure from feminist and religious groups (read: “family” groups) across the world.

The goal is to make every person a criminal, so the cops can put anyone they want away for a long time. Pedophilia! It sounds very awful. But let’s face it, a large percentage of men have pics of naked women on their PCs, and I many of these pics are under 18. That makes a large percentage of men hard core criminals.

It’s not only being a hard-core criminal - If you are convicted of a sex-crime you cant live near a school or playground or public building maybe. Basically it comes out to just about everywhere. I had a sex-criminal friend and his life was very circumscribed. Made it impossible. But then his sex-vibe was (and I suppose is still) really tweaky and unpleasant to me. When I asked about his taste he would slowly repeat, that’s what they said in group, careful to express the correct opinion and careful not to say it was his. I am glad I did not have to pass judgment, except to boundary his closeness to me. I’d be happy to introduce him to hentai though.
